Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the IBM DB2 database management system and the IBM DB2 Connect Server. It allows an authenticated user with CONNECT privileges to cause a denial of service by sending a specially crafted query.
Recommendations
For versions 10.1, 10.5, and 11.1, consider restricting access to the database until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ability to send specially crafted queries to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
