Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in memory. Exploitation of this issue could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the help of a specially crafted file. This requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The exploitation can result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe Substance 3D Sampler versions 4.2.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 4.2.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to potentially malicious files to prevent the vulnerability from being exploited.
