CVE-2023-50232

CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Inductive Automation Ignition (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the getParams method in Inductive Automation Ignition, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations. This is due to the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to prepare an argument for a system call. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user, but user interaction is required as the target must connect to a malicious server.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
