Description The issue is related to the ksmbd module in the Linux kernel, where an out-of-bounds condition occurs in the init smb2 rsp hdr() function when handling the need neg parameter set to false. This happens when a client sends an SMB2 negotiate request followed by an SMB1 negotiate request. The vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
