Description
The issue is related to a stack overflow in the openlink virtuoso-opensource platform, which can be exploited by attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via crafted SQL statements. This can be achieved by a remote attacker using specially crafted SQL operators, leading to a service disruption.
Recommendations
For openlink virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.11, consider disabling the execution of crafted SQL statements as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the SQL interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
