Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Linux Mint Xreader. User interaction is required to exploit this issue, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of CBT files, resulting from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute a system call. An attacker can leverage this issue to execute code in the context of the current user.
