Description
The issue is related to the Patch Management Agent component of VIPRE Advanced Security, which is affected by an uncontrolled search path element vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the Patch Management Agent, resulting from loading a file from an unsecured location. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.
