Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to a refcount leak in the ixgbe component of the Linux kernel. This leak occurs because the
pci get domain bus and slot() function returns a PCI device with an incremented refcount, and the caller must decrement the reference count by calling pci dev put() when finished using it. In the ixgbe get first secondary devfn() and ixgbe x550em a has mii() functions, pci dev put() is called to avoid the leak. The exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
