CVE-2022-48873

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the use of memory after it has been freed in the fastrpc component of the Linux kernel. This could allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. The vulnerability is resolved by not removing the map from the list on error paths in fastrpc init create process and fastrpc device release, instead calling fastrpc map put to avoid use-after-free. The fastrpc free map is the only proper place to remove the map, which is called after the reference count is 0.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
