CVE-2023-52525

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the mwifiex process rx packet function in the Linux kernel, which is associated with an out-of-bounds check condition. This can potentially lead to a denial of service. The problem arises when the code attempts to access the rfc1042 headers when the buffer is too small, but the driver can still process packets without these headers.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
