CVE-2023-52515

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the RDMA/srp component of the Linux kernel, where a use-after-free condition can occur. This happens when the scmd eh abort handler() function calls the SCSI LLD eh abort handler callback, which then performs one of the following actions: calling scsi queue insert(), scsi finish command(), or scsi eh scmd add(). To prevent this, the scsi done() call has been removed from srp abort(). The srp free req() call is kept before returning SUCCESS to ensure the command is not seen again. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to elevate their privileges.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
