CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the nfc: nci component of the Linux kernel, where the protocol used in a bit mask to determine if the protocol is supported may potentially perform a shift-out-of-bounds. This could provide a clearer error for undefined protocols vs unsupported ones. The vulnerability is associated with a read-out-of-bounds condition, which could allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
