CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel version 6.3-intel #r1
Description The vulnerability is related to the iommu/vt-d component of the Linux kernel. It is caused by the allocation of memory with the GFP KERNEL flag during the iommu suspend() syscore suspend callback, which is invoked with IRQ disabled. This can lead to intermittent suspend/hibernation problems. The issue is resolved by avoiding memory allocation in iommu suspend().
Recommendations To resolve the issue, update the Linux kernel to a version where the memory allocation in iommu suspend() is avoided. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
