| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.9
Description
The issue is related to the libc malloc component of the Virtuoso-opensource platform, which is associated with the incorrect neutralization of special elements used in SQL commands. This can allow a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) using specially crafted SQL statements.
Recommendations
For Virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.9, consider disabling the use of the libc malloc component until a patch is available to prevent potential Denial of Service (DoS) attacks via crafted SQL statements. Restrict access to SQL commands to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using specially crafted SQL statements in the affected component until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
