Description
The issue in the chash array component of openlink virtuoso-opensource is related to the improper neutralization of special elements used in SQL commands, allowing attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via crafted SQL statements. This can be exploited by a remote attacker using specially crafted SQL operators.
Recommendations
For openlink virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.9, consider disabling the chash array component as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to SQL commands to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using specially crafted SQL statements in the affected component until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
