Description
The issue in the dfe qexp list component of Virtuoso-opensource is related to the improper neutralization of special elements used in SQL commands. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) using specially crafted SQL statements.
Recommendations
For Virtuoso-opensource version 7.2.9, consider restricting access to the dfe qexp list component to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the dfe qexp list component in SQL statements until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
