CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a potential NULL pointer dereference in the RDMA/irdma component of the Linux kernel. The function in dev get() can return NULL, which will cause a failure when idev is dereferenced in in dev for each ifa rtnl(). A patch has been added to check for a NULL value in idev beforehand. This could potentially allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
