Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in the
uof get name() function of the QAT 4xxx driver in the Linux kernel. This occurs because the fw objs[] array has "num objs" elements, and the condition should be >= instead of > to prevent the out-of-bounds read. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
