| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Wavlink AC3000 version M33A8.V5030.210505
Description
Multiple OS command injection vulnerabilities exist in the login.cgi set sys init() functionality. A specially crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can make an unauthenticated HTTP request to trigger these vulnerabilities. A command injection vulnerability exists within the
restart week value POST parameter. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands by sending specially crafted HTTP requests.Recommendations
For Wavlink AC3000 version M33A8.V5030.210505, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
set sys init() function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the login.cgi module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the restart week value parameter in the affected HTTP endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
