| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Wavlink AC3000 versions M33A8.V5030.210505
Description
The issue is related to the set add routing() function in the internet.cgi script of the Wavlink AC3000 router's firmware. It is caused by the lack of proper data sanitization on the management level when handling the
netmask parameter. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands by sending specially crafted HTTP requests. The vulnerability can be triggered by making an authenticated HTTP request.Recommendations
For version M33A8.V5030.210505, consider disabling the set add routing() function until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the internet.cgi script to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid using the
netmask parameter in the affected POST request until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
