Description
The issue is related to a use-after-free flaw in the nf tables component of the Linux kernel's netfilter, which can be exploited to cause a denial of service or potentially allow local privilege escalation. The vulnerability is resolved by adding a timestamp field to the beginning of the transaction and updating the set backend to use this timestamp, preventing an element from expiring while a control plane transaction is still unfinished.
