Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.x
Description
The issue is related to an incorrect permission assignment for a critical resource in the PowerScale OneFS operating system. This could allow a locally authenticated attacker to exploit the issue, potentially leading to a denial of service.
Recommendations
For Dell PowerScale OneFS versions 8.2.2.x through 9.8.0.x, consider restricting access to critical resources until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limit the privileges of locally authenticated attackers to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
