Description
The issue is related to a denial of service caused by improper enforcement of the timeout on individual read operations. A remote attacker could exploit this by conducting a slowloris-type attack, leading to a denial of service. The vulnerability is associated with unlimited resource allocation, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform a slowloris-type attack.
Recommendations
For IBM TXSeries for Multiplatforms version 10.1, consider implementing proper timeout enforcement on individual read operations to prevent denial of service attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to resources that could be exploited by slowloris-type attacks until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
