Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to an inconsistency check between the input data length and count in the Linux kernel's nfc/nci component. A write call was constructed with a data length of 3 bytes but a count value of 15, which passed too little data to meet the basic requirements of the function
nci rf intf activated ntf packet(). This inconsistency can cause problems. Another component, drm/lima, has a vulnerability related to an incorrect calculation, which can lead to a denial of service.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
