CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the net/smc component of the Linux kernel, where the callback functions of clcsock can be overwritten incorrectly during a fallback, resulting in a loop call issue. This can lead to a denial of service. The problem occurs when the fallback happens more than once, causing the copies of the callback functions to be overwritten, resulting in a loop between smc fback error report(), smc fback forward wakeup(), clcsock callback(), and smc->clcsk error report().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
