Description The vulnerability is related to a memory leak in the nr heartbeat expiry() function of the Linux kernel's netrom component. This issue can be exploited to cause a denial of service. The memory leak occurs when the sock hold() function is called for a socket that has already been closed and the nr release() function has been called. To fix this issue, it is recommended to call sock hold() only for a listening socket.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
