VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Totolink LR1200GB version 9.1.0u.6619 B20230130
Description A critical vulnerability was found in the Totolink LR1200GB router's software. The issue affects the setUploadSetting function of the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file. The manipulation of the FileName argument leads to os command injection. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed.
Recommendations As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the setUploadSetting function of the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the FileName argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
