Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in IBM DB2 and DB2 Connect Server, which could allow a local user to escalate their privileges to the SYSTEM user using the MSI repair functionality.
Recommendations
For versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, consider disabling the MSI repair functionality as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
Restrict access to the SYSTEM user to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
