Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A reference leak issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The problem occurs when
pm runtime get sync fails, causing the PM reference count to be incremented even though it should not be. This happens in the sprd i2c master xfer() and sprd i2c remove() functions. To fix this, pm runtime get sync is replaced with pm runtime resume and get to keep the usage counter balanced.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
