Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WP Lead Plus X plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 0.99
Description
The WP Lead Plus X plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on several functions. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to perform administrative actions, such as adding pages to the site and/or replacing site content with malicious JavaScript via a forged request, granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For WP Lead Plus X plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 0.99, update to a version that includes the necessary nonce validation to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to administrative functions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
