Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Google Language Translator plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 6.0.9
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via multiple parameters due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. It specifically affects users with older browsers that lack proper URL encoding support.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 6.0.9, update to a version later than 6.0.9 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality until a patch is available. Avoid using the plugin with older browsers that lack proper URL encoding support to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
