CVE-2021-46969

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the mhi queue function in the Linux kernel, which returns an error when the doorbell is not accessible in the current state. This can occur when the device is in a non-M0 state, such as M3, and needs to be woken up prior to ringing the doorbell. The error is not actually an error, but rather a delay in the doorbell update. The issue also fixes a use-after-free error for the skb case, where a caller queuing skb will try to free the skb if the queueing fails, but in that case, the queueing has already been done.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
