Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the Linux kernel, where the timer 1 configuration bits are cleared when clearing the interrupt flag and counter overflow on mvme147 and mvme16x systems. This results in no timer interrupts being delivered after the first, causing initialization to hang in calibrate delay as the jiffies counter is not updated. The problem is resolved by not wiping the PCC timer config bits and enabling the timer after requesting the irq on mvme16x, consistent with mvme147.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
