CVE-2021-47120

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue is related to the HID magicmouse driver, where a sanity check for an Apple trackpad was added but returned success instead of -ENODEV when the check failed. This causes the remove callback to dereference a never-initialised driver data pointer when the driver is later unbound, such as on USB disconnect.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
