Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel, where an access to bytes 4 through 15 of an APIC register may cause undefined behavior. This access in kvm lapic reg read can result in a leak of kernel stack contents. The problem occurred after a guard was removed in a commit. The SDM states that such access must not be executed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
