CVE-2021-47295

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak was reported in the Linux kernel, specifically in the tcindex set parms() function. The issue arises from a non-freed perfect hash in tcindex partial destroy work(). When tcindex set parms() allocates new tcindex data and copies fields from the old one, it fails to copy the perfect hash, leading to a memory leak. This leak occurs because tcindex partial destroy work() is the destroy function for the old tcindex data, and it needs to free the perfect hash to prevent the leak.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
