CVE-2021-47324

CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a possible use-after-free in the wdt startup() function. The problem occurs because the del timer() function does not wait until the timer handler finishes, which can result in a use-after-free when the driver's remove function has finished. This is fixed by calling del timer sync(), ensuring the timer handler has finished and cannot re-schedule itself.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
