VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel, specifically in the jfs file system. The issue arises when an inode with JFS SBI(inode->i sb)->ipimap == NULL is passed to the diFree() function, resulting in a general protection fault (GPF). This occurs because JFS IP() returns an invalid pointer when ipimap is NULL. The call trace includes functions such as diFree(), jfs evict inode(), evict(), iput final, iput.part.0, and iput.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
