CVE-2021-47356

CVSS v3.1

7.7

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to a possible use-after-free in the HFC cleanup() function of the mISDN module. This occurs because the module's remove path calls del timer(), which does not wait until the timer handler finishes, potentially resulting in a use-after-free. The fix involves calling del timer sync() to ensure the timer handler has finished and cannot re-schedule itself.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
