CVE-2021-47370

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 5.14.0-syzkaller
Description The issue arises from a signed/unsigned comparison in the expression info->size goal - skb->len > 0, which evaluates to true when the size goal is smaller than the skb size. This results in a lack of tx cache refill, causing the skb allocated by the core TCP code to lack the required MPTCP skb extensions. The vulnerability can be triggered by syzbot, leading to a WARN ON() warning.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
