Description
The issue is related to the
sctp rcv ootb function in the Linux kernel, where a null pointer dereference can occur if skb header pointer returns NULL. This can cause a crash, as reported by syzbot. The vulnerability is due to the lack of a check for a NULL return value from skb header pointer before using it. The call trace includes functions such as sctp6 rcv, ip6 protocol deliver rcu, and ipv6 rcv.Recommendations
