Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A potential memory leak has been identified in the Linux kernel, specifically in the tracing/histogram component. The issue arises due to a missing kfree() call on an error path, which fails to free the memory allocated by kstrdup(). This can be resolved by freeing the memory via kfree(p), where p = param = kstrdup(data->params[i], GFP KERNEL).
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
