Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak issue has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The problem occurs in the
vmbus add channel kobj function, where kobject init and add() takes a reference even when it fails. According to the documentation of kobject init and add(), if this function returns an error, kobject put() must be called to properly clean up the memory associated with the object. The memory leak is fixed by calling kobject put().Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
