Description The issue is related to a lack of bounds checking in the nci add new protocol() function, which can lead to a field-spanning write. This was detected by syzkaller while running under CONFIG FORTIFY SOURCE=y, specifically in the net/nfc/nci/ntf.c file at line 260, where a write of size 129 to the target->sensf res field was reported, exceeding its size of 18. The vulnerability may allow an attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
