| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13
Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Oracle Customer Interaction History product, specifically in the Outcome-Result component. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the system. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and may significantly impact additional products. The vulnerability can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized access and data manipulation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Outcome-Result component to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that all input data is thoroughly validated to prevent potential attacks.
