Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the Create, Update, Authoring Flow component of Oracle Knowledge Management. This allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Knowledge Management. Successful attacks require human interaction and may significantly impact additional products. Attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some Oracle Knowledge Management accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Knowledge Management accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.13, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Create, Update, Authoring Flow component until a patch is available. Avoid using the HTTP protocol to access Oracle Knowledge Management until the issue is resolved. Restrict access to sensitive data in Oracle Knowledge Management to minimize the risk of exploitation.
