CVE-2023-3409

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Bricks theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.8.1
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the reset settings function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to reset the theme's settings via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.8.1, consider disabling the reset settings function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the theme's settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized changes. Avoid using the theme until a fixed version is released. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
