CVE-2023-3410

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Bricks theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.10.1
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the customTag attribute due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with access to the Bricks Builder to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The risk increases when Bricks Builder access is granted to lower-privileged users.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.10.1, update to a version that includes the necessary input sanitization and output escaping fixes to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Bricks Builder to only high-privileged users to minimize the risk of exploitation.
