Description
A double-free vulnerability exists in the IP header loopback parsing functionality. This can be triggered by a specially crafted set of network packets, leading to memory corruption and potentially resulting in code execution. An attacker can send a sequence of unauthenticated packets to exploit this issue.
Recommendations
For Weston Embedded uC-TCP-IP version 3.06.01, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the IP header loopback parsing functionality until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
