Description
A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the boa set RadvdPrefixParam functionality. A specially crafted series of network requests can lead to remote code execution. An attacker can send a sequence of requests to trigger this vulnerability.
Recommendations
For Realtek rtl819x Jungle SDK version 3.4.11, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
set RadvdPrefixParam functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable boa module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the vulnerable functionality in the affected SDK version until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
